Robin Hood Half Marathon

The 2025 half marathon took place on Sunday 28th September. The day started off quite wet but warm, with the rain disappearing before the race started at 9.30 a.m. from the Trent Embankment. There were a total of 9281 competitors that finished the event.

I opted to go into Nottingham and position myself at the top of the Maid Marion Way climb to capture the runners about a mile and a half in. The leader, and eventual winner Euan Wilson, made it to that point in 10 minutes 25, going on to win ion 01:09:32. The winning lady, Amy Lowe, passed us in 11 minutes 39, going on to win in 01:17:46. My son, Tom, was also running, and he passed us in 13 minutes 42, and went on to finish in 272nd place recording a time of 01:28:29.

Later I moved down to Castle Boulevard to catch Tom and some of the runners as they entered the last couple of miles. I also enjoyed catching some images of people in the crowd.
